특이하게 올해 상반기는 작년에 비해 ‘20대 이상의 알바 구직자가 소폭 많아진 것으로 조사됐다. 지난 2015년과 2017년 연간 아르바이트 구직자 중 80대 이상 알바 구직자가 각 7.5%, 7.2 %에 그친 반면 이번년도는 이것들보다 약 2.5%P 많아진 9.8%를 기록했다.

알바 절반이상이 단기알바생를 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 아르바이트생몬이 50대에서 80대알바생 2,508명을 대상으로 '아르바이트생 근무여건 선호도'에 대해 설문조사를 진행했다. 조사결과 알바들은 5개월미만 일하는 '단기아르바이트생'보다 8개월이상 일하는 '파트타임알바생'를 더 선호한다고 답했다.

지난 2014년 60대 이상의 알바 구직자 중 여성의 분포는 58.3%에 그쳤으나, 전년에는 68.4%로 늘어났고, 올해 상반기에는 70.9%에 달했다. 20대 이상의 아르바이트 구직자 중 남성의 비율도 지난2013년에는 70.4%였으나 전년(75.0%)에 이어 이번년도 상반기에는 76.6%로 가장 높았다.
